Twitter: We recently found a bug that stored passwords unmasked in an internal log. We fixed the bug and have no indication of a breach or misuse by anyone. As a precaution, consider changing your password on all services where you’ve used this password.
Like many of you I’m on mobile nonstop. My laptop safely stored away and out of reach. #lazy
I figured I could easily update my password from the mobile app. You know what they say about assume!
Surprisingly there’s no option to do that. At all. Bad design in my opinion, but okay.
I went to Safari, the mobile browser, to update it from there. Again, I found no option to do that. There weren’t many settings so I find it hard to believe that I missed it.
Okay. Time to think. Maybe I could log out and ask for a reset link!
Woohoo. That worked. Kind of silly, if you ask me that I had to think this hard to change my password, but that seems to be the only way to do it from mobile.
I would recommend resetting your password and now you know how. ??
