Can’t watch? Here’s a transcript:

Hi. It’s @ctrappe here on Twitter. With over 60,000 followers on Twitter now, I wanted to make my own version of Jimmy Kimmel’s Mean Tweets videos. So let’s see what people have send my way:

“I’ve given up on @ctrappe a long time ago. Too spammy and superficial.”

I do block people from time to time. So this one person I blocked writes to me: “‘I’ve been blocked by more important people than @ctrappe.”

“The scheduled tweet from The Authentic Storyteller. Now that’s AUTHENTIC.”

Scheduling blog posts and social media updates does not hurt authenticity

This person did a whole blog post on me not allowing comments on my blog and then tweeted at me “@ctrappe does not allow comments on his blog. He’s not open to discussions.” I wrote him back right away and asked what was going on and he said: “You don’t allow comments on your blog.”

Why I turned comments on my blog off

“Hey @ctrappe. I’m still waiting for your book to get good.”

“How can you be a good social media marketer if you don’t respond right away? BYE!!!!” I responded pretty quickly actually but I was on a plane and there was no wifi.

Wrap

Negativity can really slow down our participation in social media. Something to be aware of. Pick your words wisely. There are humans on the other end. Either way, I’m on Twitter at @ctrappe, Instagram – christophtrappe Hope you’ll connect with me there.
