I was flying United Airlines on a Friday night when the Cleveland Indians were playing the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago. 

The game was just starting when we took off for Chicago and United offers DirectTV service – so live TV – for $5.99 during the flight. I appreciated that enough already. I’m not the biggest baseball fan, but certainly it was nice to watch it live while on a plane on a Friday night. 

I hardly ever fly United and these were my first two legs on them this year and I’ve flown 92 legs total. Live TV is certainly a nice feature. 

The two travelers next to me also watched it. We flew past downtown Chicago and flew right by the lit up stadium on Chicago’s north side. “That’s Wrigley!” we all said at the same time. 

That was quite awesome and a story I’ve shared a few times since. It’s interesting, unusual and kind of cool. The makings of a shareable story.
